Calm, discreet, and one tap from the hotline.

Long Island Trauma is a 24/7 crime scene, trauma and biohazard cleanup company serving Long Island and New York City. We rebuilt its site from WordPress to Webflow: a calm, call-first design with service and service-area pages built for searches people make in private.

The challenge

People arrive on the worst day of their lives.

In seconds they need to know someone will answer, that the work is discreet, and that insurance usually covers it. A typical emergency-service site, all loud colours and alarm imagery, is the wrong tone. The site also had to be found across a large region for sensitive searches.

Our approach

Design for the visitor’s state of mind first.

The tone is calm and plain. The hotline is one tap away on every page, and the four questions people ask first (will you answer, how fast, what will it cost, will the neighbours know) are answered before they scroll.

Underneath, every cleanup type and every county or borough gets its own page, so the business can be found across Long Island and NYC without aggressive marketing.

Questions
How should a biohazard cleanup company website be designed?

Calm and direct. Put the 24/7 phone number on every page, answer cost, response time and discretion up front, and avoid alarming imagery. Then give each service and each area its own page.

How do crime scene cleanup companies get found online?

Through dedicated pages for each service and for each county or borough served. Each page should explain the service plainly, mention insurance, and offer a one-tap call.

Should an emergency service website lead with a form or a phone number?

Both, with the phone first. Most people in an emergency call. A short callback form catches those who cannot talk, and SMS consent lets the team reply by text.
